For our senior project, my peers and I worked to design and fabricate prosthetic arm attachments to help our challenger, ex-US Marine Jorge Segura, accomplish cooking tasks after his transhumeral amputation. Our 4-part design included one quick-change wrist, followed by a clamp for pots and bowls, a sleeve to hold frying pans, and a cutting tool to stabilize food on a cutting board.
